Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about sports medicine & Performance360
What happens at the initial consultation for Performance360?
The initial consultation with Dipl. NHP TEN Angel Reve Robles, Head of Sports Medicine & Performance Diagnostics, serves to understand your goals, history and current situation. On this basis, we recommend the appropriate diagnostic modules – for example spiroergometry, an incremental lactate test or laboratory values. You leave the consultation with a clear picture of which next steps make sense. The initial consultation involves no obligation and can be arranged via our contact form or by telephone.
We look not only at athletic performance parameters, but also at factors such as energy, recovery, stress, metabolism and general health.
Our goal:
Our goal is to identify possible causes of a drop in performance, exhaustion or impaired recovery, and to show you an individual, understandable path to more performance, health and well-being.
What does spiroergometry measure, and what does it mean for me in practice?
Spiroergometry is the most precise method of determining your personal performance capacity. It measures your maximum oxygen uptake (VO₂max), your aerobic and anaerobic thresholds and your EPOC value (the oxygen debt after exercise).
The result:
An exact, individual training plan with clear heart rate and performance zones – instead of relying on generic rules of thumb. For athletes, this means more efficient training, less overload and measurable progress.
In addition, spiroergometry can help patients with long COVID, chronic exhaustion or ME/CFS to determine their individual exercise limit objectively. It shows at which intensity the body becomes overloaded and in which range physical activity is safely possible. This allows training and everyday life to be managed in a targeted way, helps to avoid overexertion and can help to reduce so-called crashes after exertion (post-exertional malaise, PEM). The examination thus provides valuable information on how long and at what intensity a patient can exert themselves without adversely affecting recovery and their state of health.
How does Performance360 differ from a standard sports medicine check?
A conventional sports medicine check often ends with a set of findings. Performance360 starts there.
Based on the diagnostics, you receive an individual plan of measures:
Training management based on lactate and HRV, recommendations on nutrition and supplements, therapeutic options such as infusion therapy or IHHT – and continuous digital support via app and direct communication. It is not a one-off event, but a supported process.
Performance360: more than a sports medicine check.
Performance360 was developed not only to measure your athletic performance, but also to identify potential health weaknesses, hidden stress factors and long-term health risks at an early stage. Combining performance diagnostics, body composition analysis, cardiovascular parameters and laboratory values produces a comprehensive picture of your health, recovery and performance. This combination of prevention, health analysis and performance optimisation makes Performance360 a unique and holistic concept. It is not a one-off check-up, but a supported process that aims to improve your health, performance and quality of life for the long term.
What role do nutrition and supplements play in Performance360?
Nutrition and supplementation are one of the six pillars of Performance360 and are designed individually on the basis of your laboratory values and your goals. We rely on evidence-based measures: personalised nutrient plans for endurance, muscle building or recovery, and high-quality supplements such as iron, creatine, L-carnitine, magnesium and mitochondrial co-factors (NADH, Q10, R-alpha-lipoic acid). There is no shortage of generic nutrition advice on the internet – with us, everything follows the measurements.
We pay particular attention to the optimal supply of the mitochondria – the “power stations” of your cells – as they play a central role in energy, performance, recovery and healthy ageing.
Can Performance360 also help with burnout and chronic exhaustion?
Yes. Chronic exhaustion, burnout symptoms and long COVID are often accompanied by measurable changes at cellular level, for example in mitochondrial function, hormone balance (cortisol, DHEA) or micronutrient status.
Performance360 analyses these factors in a targeted way and uses individualised measures:
from infusion therapy with NAD+ and Q10 to HRV-based stress management, sleep hygiene and cortisol regulation. Many patients report clearly improved energy and resilience after only a few weeks.
Unlike purely symptom-oriented treatment, we look specifically for the possible causes of the exhaustion and develop an individual recovery and therapy programme based on objective measurements.
How long does a Performance360 programme last?
That depends on your goals and on the depth of the programme you choose. We recommend a first meaningful follow-up analysis with repeat spiroergometry, HRV and BIA after 6 to 12 weeks. Many participants book Performance360 as long-term support that is adjusted to the season. Short formats for a targeted diagnostic and advisory appointment are also possible.
Performance360 is not a short-term programme, but an investment in your long-term health, performance and quality of life. The longer the support, the more precisely progress can be measured and potential realised.
I'm not an elite athlete – is Performance360 still for me?
Absolutely. Most of our Performance360 patients are ambitious amateur athletes, working people with high expectations of their health, or people who want to regain their performance after a period of exhaustion. For professional athletes, we optimise competition preparation and recovery – for everyone else, it is about lasting energy, better body composition and more enjoyment of exercise. The measures scale with your level.
