Before Your Appointment

Consultation – Preparation

The consultation

How do I prepare for my initial consultation?

During the consultation, the diagnostic and therapeutic strategy is worked out together.

  • Information flows in both directions.
  • Both are aware of the options available for the medical decision.
  • Both contribute their decision criteria actively and as equals.
  • Both partners take responsibility for the decision.

Please bring

  • All doctors' and hospital reports and X-rays (not only) relating to your illness
  • Dental X-rays if you have root-dead teeth
  • A list of your medicines, including homeopathic remedies, vitamins, etc.
  • If possible, a list of all significant previous illnesses and operations
  • Vaccination records
  • For metabolic and weight problems, a food diary if possible: for one week, write down everything you eat and drink (with the time; no quantities needed).
  • Please think about your answers to the questions frequently asked at the first consultation.

Document formats – please note

Ideally, your documents will already be in digital form – as PDFs or JPG images.

If the files are not too large, you are welcome to send them to us by e-mail at office@sgk.swiss.

If you bring the data with you, please use USB sticks only, not CDs.

Ideally, we should receive the documents about 1 week before the consultation.

If you bring paper documents, please do not staple them; use paper clips instead.

And please no endless plastic sleeves – as in this picture.

Please note: if we have to digitise your documents on site, or the data cannot easily be transferred from your USB stick, we reserve the right to charge for the work as a private service (CHF 8 per 5 minutes).

Thank you for your help!
