Your stay with us.
Our patients come from all over Switzerland and from further afield. Anyone travelling here for an assessment needs more than an appointment: a contact person who holds the stay together, examinations that can be concentrated into a few days, and a room close to the clinic.
Seegarten Klinik is in Kilchberg, right on Lake Zurich, between Kilchberg railway station and the Bendlikon boat landing. The city of Zurich is only a few minutes away, and the clinic itself can be reached by suburban train, bus, boat and car.

This is how the clinic plans an assessment for complex medical conditions — and what of it matters for your journey.

Before you travel
Get in touch — using the form or by telephone. Then send us your documents digitally as PDF or JPG files: medical and hospital reports, X-rays, a list of your medication and your vaccination record. Ideally, they should reach us about a week before your consultation.

Day 1
Initial consultation. In conversation, doctor and patient work out the diagnostic and therapeutic strategy together. If you think about the common questions beforehand — your main problem, previous investigations, operations, medication, dental health — you will get the most out of this hour.

Day x
Laboratory tests, fasting. Solid food only until midnight the day before, then water or a little unsweetened tea, no coffee, and no strenuous exercise in the morning. Food supplements should be stopped at least three days beforehand — usually while you are still at home.

Day xx
Further investigations if necessary; then a discussion of your laboratory results and planning of the next steps.
How many days lie between the appointments depends on the individual case — which is why the clinic calls them “Day x” and “Day xx”. If your documents are missing at the initial consultation, a second consultation is needed in between, and the documents must reach us at least a week before it. If you are travelling from far away, complete documents therefore save you more than just an appointment.

Zurich Airport is about 18 kilometres from the clinic — on the other side of the city, but closer than the map suggests.

With our transfer service
On request, we will arrange your journey from the airport to the clinic or to your hotel. Let us know in your request or tell your contact person, and give us your flight number and arrival time.
By train
From the airport railway station to Zurich main station (Zürich HB), then the S8 or S24 to Kilchberg — about half an hour. From Kilchberg station, continue on bus 165 to Bendlikon; the stop is right outside the building.
By taxi or hire car
About 18 kilometres, a good twenty minutes. The route goes around the city to the western shore of the lake. Public parking is available along Seestrasse and at the station.
