Commitment to my patients
As I myself have ME/CFS, which went undiagnosed for a long time, I work for my patients in an unusual and personally motivated way. Above all, I reconstruct medical histories, consult the scientific literature and try to offer plausible additional options for those for whom “nothing more can be done”. I do not always find something; the effort is enormous, the interdisciplinary scope often daunting and the waiting times long – but the breadth and the personal reward are great, and the impact on individuals is often immense.

Areas of focus
Myalgic encephalomyelopathy (-itis) / chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and other conditions dominated by various forms of exhaustion. Academically oriented assessment of complex questions across several disciplines at once.
Additional qualifications
From 2016, medical adviser and later also board member of the association ME/CFS Schweiz. Experienced organiser of unusual processes. Author of scientific publications – research, recruitment, statistical analysis, writing. Gives talks and has experience with various media.
