The statutory billing regulation
As a medical institution, the SGK is obliged by the state supervisory authority SantiSuisse/Sasis to invoice the services provided as follows, in accordance with the KVG.
Krankenkassenabrechnung
- General practitioner medicine
- Specialist medicine such as cardiology, dermatology, surgery
Explanation
Here too, the condition of medical indication must be fulfilled. If, for example, a patient requests a computer tomography or laboratory without the doctor deeming this necessary, such a measure becomes a private benefit.
Krankenkassenabrechnung UND Privat/Selbstzahlerleistung
- Treatment of chronic conditions and mood disorders
Explanation
Consultation via health insurance up to time limit according to Tarmed. Time extension with e.g. examination or psychotherapy if applicable. Basic laboratory usually via health insurance, special laboratory and treatments privately after cost clarification.
Consultation via health insurance up to time limit according to Tarmed. Time extension with e.g. examination or psychotherapy if applicable. Basic laboratory usually via health insurance, special laboratory and treatments private after cost clarification. The time limit is approx. 90 minutes every 3 months. Consultations are usually charged for 30 minutes via health insurance, the rest as a self-pay service.
If you are not in agreement with this consultation arrangement, please inform the doctor. As a result, consultations will only be billed in accordance with the KVG. You will therefore forgo longer consultations if the time limit is reached. If necessary, you will have to come to the practice more frequently.
Reine Selbstzahlerleistung
- Check up, sports and life optimization, blood tuning according to Strunz from the 2nd consultation onwards
- Treatments by naturopaths and therapists
- Holistic therapies, clarifications
- Conventional medical diagnostics and therapy without a recognized indication
- Iron infusions without cost approval from the health insurance company
Explanation
As part of the so-called triage, the first consultation by a doctor in the SGK is a necessary medical service and must therefore be covered by the health insurance companies (tariff protection Art. 44 KVG). Here, information is provided about the expected costs and measures that may be necessary to cover the costs, such as obtaining a medical opinion from the health insurance company.
Even in the case of holistic indications such as heavy metal contamination and even in the case of success (!), we cannot expect the costs to be covered, as this problem is NOT recognized by conventional medicine or the medical profession.
What is covered by health insurance? Less and less!
You need to rethink. Health insurance companies are there to cover the major risks associated with conventional medicine. And that's a good thing. Thank God that this still works very well here in Switzerland. On the other hand, we need to move away from the idea of entitlement: “I pay premiums, so I want something in return!” We must be more willing to pay for our own health and make our own contribution to our personal well-being.
